ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Rotterdam man was arrested on Wednesday after striking multiple pedestrians while driving drunk in Schenectady, according to New York State Police. On Wednesday, around 10:15 p.m., state police responded to the intersection of Albany Street and Hulett Street in Schenectady for reports of pedestrians who were struck by a car. Along with help from the Schenectady Police Department, the car that fled the area was found stopped on Craig Street. Police identified the driver as Marotta. Two pedestrians were hit and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were both evaluated and taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man was arrested on Monday and is charged with arson after a fire occurred at the Veterans of Lansingburgh. Michael Christiansen, 43, faces multiple charges. According to Troy Police, around 9 p.m., crews received multiple 911 calls regarding an exterior fire at the Veterans of Lansingburgh at 777 1st Avenue in Troy. Troy firefighters began working, and thanks to community members and Veterans of Lansingburgh staff, a suspect was identified within minutes. The fire was quickly extinguished and damage was limited. The suspect, identified as Christiansen, was taken to Central Station for processing and was held for arraignment to occur at 9 a.m. in Troy City Court. SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady County Sheriff's Office has confirmed with NEWS10 that the two missing vulnerable adults, Malachi Williams and Ryan Williams, have been found. Law enforcement conducted a large search for the two missing adults with special needs early Tuesday morning near Mariaville. CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — BART will run service as normal on Tuesday, the agency announced, just a day after a train derailed and caught fire north of Orinda in Contra Costa County, injuring nine people.The initial incident occurred just after 9 a.m. Monday on BART’s yellow line between the Orinda and Lafayette stations.
