Say goodbye to designated bike lanes in downtown Culver City.By a vote of 3-2 this week, the Culver City Council voted to end a controversial pilot program that created protected bike and bus lanes on Culver and Washington boulevards through the 1.3-mile downtown corridor.The project, dubbed Move Culver City, was launched in 2021 to encourage walking, cycling and public transit use, and reduce emissions. A Victorville man was arrested after he allegedly fired multiple shots at an occupied home with a rifle, an attack that was captured by security cameras, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.Nathaniel Aguirre-Miranda, 23, approached the home in the 14000 block of Cortez Drive a few minutes after midnight on April 9 and shot the structure multiple times, the Sheriff's Department said in a news release. 72-Year-Old Man Killed in Highway 101 Car AccidentSAN MARTIN, CA (April 26, 2023) – Thursday morning, a solo-car crash on Highway 101 claimed the life of an elderly man and left his female passenger injured.The fatal incident occurred around 11:54 a.m. along the southbound 101, south of the East Middle Avenue overpass.According to reports, a southbound 2000 Lexus compact SUV in the far left lane veered out of control for unknown reasons. (KRON) -- The Oakland Police Department is investigating a death that occurred early Wednesday morning in the 300 block of 10th Street, officials said. Officers responded to the incident around 7:30 a.m.At the scene, officers said they found a victim unresponsive with injuries. The nature of the injuries were not specified.
